Women Say Thank You
One good turn deserves another! Say 'Thank You' to people who speak up to protect women and children, and support free speech in our society.
Politicians, at whatever level, get a lot of complaints. It goes with the job. If they are doing what we want them to, well that’s just their job isn’t it and they get paid for it?
Anyone who has been following the debate on women’s rights, in particular our rights to single-sex spaces, services, sports, and provisions, will be aware of the vicious attacks, usually on social media, on people who stand up for women; it isn’t just politicians, it’s journalists, academics, authors, the list is endless, and the most vile abuse is always reserved for women.
Many of us have sent cards, flowers, even gifts to those who have been on the receiving end of some of the worst abuse; Joan McAlpine, JK Rowling, Rosie Duffield, and most recently Kevin Price.
Let’s make the effort to let people know, particularly our politicians, when they HAVE got something right, that they ARE doing a good job.
An appreciative email or tweet is always good, but how about keeping a few of our postcards handy? A visual reminder for someone to stick on the wall of their office, for everyone to see, that says
