'Without Fear Or Favour'

Supporting PCCs to confidently apply equality and
diversity principles based in fact and the law

A zoom meeting for Conservative PCCs, conducted under Chatham House Rules of confidentiality.  An opportunity to hear from the from the experts, ask questions and discuss procedure with other PCCS, secure in the knowledge that your attendance or anything you say remains private to the group.

The recent rise in numbers of people who wish to ‘change sex’ or seek formal recognition of their claimed ‘gender identity’  has led to confusion amongst public and private institutions and service-providers, none more so than the Police who may unwittingly stray into the gender wars every day in their line of duty.

Incorrect and vague advice from lobby and pressure groups has made the problem worse, not better, and PCCs need to have confidence in the law and fact-based evidence to hold their Chief Constables to account.  This session and the resources supplied will give clear guidance on the law around the Equality Act 2010, and how it can be enforced in practice.

In the session 'Without Fear or Favour' we will cover:

  • Sex not Gender
  • Sex offending by women has increased 84% in four years - what’s behind this sudden rise?
  • The Equality Act
  • Law vs. Guidance
  • What the law says on strip and intimate search on trans identifying suspects, and conversely, by trans-identifying staff.
  • ‘Without fear or favour’ - how extremist political ideology has taken root within the police.
  • Your questions

About Us

Conservatives for Women

Conservatives for Women was founded in December 2020 to be the voice of people on the centre-right of politics, concerned with the erosion of women’s sex-based rights by gender ideology. We are passionate about upholding the privacy, dignity and safety of women, and safeguarding girls.

We have around 400 members, a third of whom are party members.

Working cross-party with other women’s political groups, we present regular, confidential webinars to parliamentarians on a variety of subjects concerned with women’s rights.
Members working on this project are Karen Varley, Lisa Bowley and Jeannette Towey.

Fair Cop

Sarah Phillimore

Sarah is a barrister practising in family law who joined Fair Cop in June 2019 after expressing concerns over the impact on children of transition. She has made an application to judicially review the College of Policing guidance on hate crimes after being reported to her local force twice over publications on social media.

Harry Miller

Harry is a former police officer and the co-founder of police watchdog, Fair Cop. In 2020, he won a landmark Article 10 case against The Chief Constable of Humberside in which the police were likened to the Stasi, the Cheka and the Gestapo. He continues to exert influence in the removal of politics from policing.
